Our company’s history began a few years ago with the joint construction design of a machine.

FICHTNER Clip

Thomas Fichtner has spent his entire life building and producing bag machines for the paper and foil converting industry. Today also his son Michael can look back on many years of experience in the design and construction of paper converting machines.
Thomas Fichtner & Michael Fichtner started together as a family business – Thomas Fichtner passed away in July 2020, so Michael Fichtner is now realising the dream they shared, supportbaged by his own young family.

New manufacturing techniques to reduce production waste

Digital printing technologies are increasingly entering areas that were previously hardly thought possible.

The design of clips and clipband closures can also be completely redesigned through digitisation.
Whereas the classic designs of continuous patterns were still limited by static printing forms and mechanical processes, the flexibility of digital printing systems now gives us previously unthinkable options in terms of customisation.
In addition, in the past the production of printing plates was always a not inconsiderable cost factor, which usually discouraged the creation of more individual or specific designs.

Unfortunately, the choice of paper is still too limited at the moment, but it is only a matter of time before the most ambitious manufacturers of digital printing systems will have solved this problem with ease.
